As of around 20Z .  presence of a cold pocket aloft and relatively low precipitable water values around a half an inch confirm elevated convection along with the scattered reports of severe hail in eastern Idaho.   Cloud to ground lightning strikes are largely outnumbered by intercloud lightning activity.
