The UAS team has participated in many field campaigns to survey the continental US. Below is a map of the surveyed areas over the last 3 years.

Propagation, Evolution and Rotation in Linear Storms: We use a wide array of instruments to better understand how tornadoes form in squall lines. 

This was a field campaign completed in the springs of 2022 and 2023 and was one of the largest and most comprehensive severe storm field campaigns to date. Learn more at the NSSL project page.
