VORTEX2 begins tomorrow, May 1. Every morning the steering committee will meet to decide if we will have operations and where we will go.  We don’t even know where we will sleep each night until the afternoon!

Right now team members are gathering in Norman, OK, Lubbock, TX, and Boulder, CO.

VORTEX2 has a new mascot and special correspondent for kids – Chase StormDawg.  He is a collie who will be in the field writing about weather science.  He has a facebook page and tweets too!
