Dr. Alexander Ryzhkov joined NSSL as an NRC Senior Research Associate in 1992 after leaving the Main Geophysical Observatory in St. Petersburg, Russia where he led the Radar Meteorology Laboratory at the end of his scientific career in Russia. In 1995, he became a Research Scientist at CIMMS. Alexander authored two books, about 200 journal papers and 3 patents.
