{"id":881,"date":"2011-01-06T10:57:07","date_gmt":"2011-01-06T15:57:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inside.nssl.noaa.gov\/nsslnews\/?p=881"},"modified":"2011-01-06T10:57:07","modified_gmt":"2011-01-06T15:57:07","slug":"partnerships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/inside.nssl.noaa.gov\/nsslnews\/2011\/01\/partnerships\/","title":{"rendered":"Partnerships"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_888\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-888\" style=\"width: 316px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-888\" href=\"https:\/\/inside.nssl.noaa.gov\/nsslnews\/2011\/01\/partnerships\/attachment\/722013\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-888\" title=\"722013\" src=\"https:\/\/inside.nssl.noaa.gov\/nsslnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2011\/01\/722013-316x237.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"316\" height=\"237\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-888\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dr. Paul Kreihbel, Linda Rust and Kay Kreihbel - part of the balloon recovery team<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Probably the most important partnership in Dave\u2019s life has been with his wife of almost 45 years, Linda.\u00a0 \u201cHer long term dedication and support is the reason for my enjoyable career, he says.\u00a0 Linda helped fund his graduate degrees, knows how to launch balloons, and has been a team member on field projects.\u00a0 Her first severe storm mission was to hold a radiosonde in the field until it could be tracked \u2013 but lightning was striking too close and the mission was aborted.\u00a0 Dave and Linda are hoping to travel more, with trips to Seattle, a Danube River cruise, and possibly Egypt being planned.<\/p>\n<p>Dave is just as passionate about his family as he is about launching balloons into storms.
